Waist beads are strands of tiny beads worn around the waist, traditionally underneath clothing. Dating back to ancient Egypt, the tradition has since spread through several continents and centuries to include women in various cultures, including those in the United States. Waist beads were traditionally worn for many reasons, including celebrating femininity, healing, rejuvenation, rites of passage, and energy. Today waistbeads are worn as a form of self expression and style, but can still have any significance the wearer chooses.Waist beads are for women of EVERY size! Celebrate your pregnant belly or post-pregnancy warrior marks, and love your body!
