Jordie Smith, M.S., LLMFT

As a mama, I understand firsthand how essential it is to have support during pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. Motherhood is TOUGH! There’s really no other way to put it but you don’t have to go at it alone. Though I have experience working with a variety of individuals and mental health concerns including depression and anxiety my personal and professional life experiences have led me to working with mamas and families. My approach tends to be solution-focused in nature and I hold a strong commitment to seeing that I provide culturally competent counseling that is collaborative and tailored to you.

Jordie received her bachelor’s degree in both Psychology and Sociology, and her master’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Oklahoma State University. She is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and Postpartum Support International. Jordie uses a variety of support modalities including CBT, IPT, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy.

What to expect during therapy?
Therapy sessions usually take place once a week for 50 minutes per session. During your therapy sessions, you’ll have a safe environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your story. It’s important that you feel heard, seen, and understood during your sessions. Together, we will build on your strengths to create small steps you can take today to start feeling better. You should feel accepted right where you are in life, but also feel challenged to reach your desired goals for the future.

We currently do not participate in any insurance plans. Most insurances want you to be diagnosed and dictate how many and what type of therapy you can have. We believe that that should be decided between you and your therapist.

We also believe that quality therapy should be available to everyone so we do offer a sliding scale fee option. We have found that in many cases the sliding fee option is cheaper than clients insurance co-pays.

Rates range between $40.00-$90.00 depending on annual household income.
